Our history
The Strologo Winery is a small-sized winery established in Camerano, in the county of Ancona, in 1960 started by Giulio Strologo, who was also one of the founding fathers of the consortium for the protection of Rosso Conero DOC wine.
In 1997 the son of the founder Silvano Strologo, joined by his spouse Catia Schiaroli, took over the leadership of the winery and decided to renew all the fermentation techniques and to launch a label of refined wines.
The winery, strongly rooted in the Marche region, can count on 14 hectares of vineyards facing south of Monte Conero at an altitude of 230m above sea level from where the prized Rosso Conero from the winery is born: Julius, Traiano and Decebalo, along with a targeted selection of sparkling ‘spumante’: Pink and Dalnero. Furthermore the white aromatic Acasio and Fior D’Acasia coming from the autochthonous vineyard ‘Incrocio Bruni 45’.
The winery is located in the Conero Riviera, which is the stretch of coast of the Adriatic, high and rocky, which from the port of the city of Ancona reaches up to that of Numana. It takes its name from the Monte Conero, which forms the homonymous promontory overlooking the sea and that creates a microclimate particularly suitable for grape cultivation and that gives name to the DOC and DOCG Rosso Conero. Here the vineyards grow in the hills heated by the rays of the sun and enjoy mild temperatures given by the proximity to the sea.
For over fifty years we have been producing high quality wine in the Marche region. A story that is renewed year after year enriched by numerous awards and recognitions such and by a selected research of products developed in collaboration with one of the best Italian winemakers: the dott. Giancarlo Soverchia.
